Batting Cage Rules and Useage Guidelines

Please utilize the batting cages with extreme safety. Players have been injured inside and outside of the cages when there’s been a loss of focus on safety precautions. No swinging bats outside of the cages. Please have a coach or parent monitor players around the cages.

  • All players must wear a helmet in the cages and the cage door must be closed at all times.
  • No metal spikes are allowed in the cages.
  • Batting cages cannot be used before 12:00 PM on Sundays.

During SBA league play, teams that are scheduled on Fields 1 through 6 have priority use of the batting cages.

  • The visiting team has a 25 minute cage use period beginning 1 hour before game time.
  • The home team has a 25 minute cage use period beginning 35 minutes before game time.

  • Field 2 – Cage 2
  • Field 3 – Cage 3

Teams with league games scheduled on Fields 7 and Field 8 may utilize a cage if not being used by a team with a game scheduled on Fields 1 through 6. Teams with games on Fields 1 through 6 have priority for use of the Batting Cages 1 through 6.

Other than during league play, cages maybe used by SBA teams on a first come, first serve basis. Use is limited to one cage per team for 30 minutes if other SBA teams are waiting. If a team shows up at their slotted pre-game time, please exit the cages immediately.

Batting Cages A and B, which are located near field 11 and 12 by the White Chapel entrance, are available on a first come, first serve basis. Cage A is designated for City of Southlake resident use and Cage B is designated for SBA team use.

Use of batting cages by non-SBA teams is not permitted except for Cage A, which is solely for the use of Southlake residents.
